Tushar hits double ton again

Sports Correspondent: Sheikh Tushar Imran is the top record holder for runs and century in first-class cricket among Bangladeshi cricketers for long days. Now he posted another milestone of two-double tons as the first batsman.

Tushar hit double ton in tier-1 for Khulna Division against Rajshahi Division in the 20th Walton National Cricket League (NCL). The 34-year-old batsman scored 104 runs in the first innings.

In the second innings on Wednesday, unbeaten Thushar struck 100 runs.

Though it is the 13th incident of hitting double ton in a single match among Bangladeshi batsmen in the domestic first-class cricket, Tushar is the first batsman who scored two double tons. Other 11 batsmen smashed a century each.

Besides, Mominul Haque is the first Bangladeshi cricketers who scored double ton in test.

Tushar posted his first double ton in Bangladesh Cricket League in April for South Zone against East Zone. He scored 130 runs and 103 (unbeaten) in two innings.

Since, he touched three-digit again in the 20th National Cricket League again. He smashed double ton in two innings. With this, toll of his century reached 30.

Nayeem Islam is the second batsman who scored 23 centuries in the first-class cricket.
