Abdullah M Rubel: Sheikh Tushar Imran is continuously touching milestone one after another. He is the top century holder in domestic cricket. Now he reached the 11,000-run milestone in the first-class cricket.
He embraced the milestone hitting a century (102) for Khulna Division against Rangpur Division on the day-four of 3rd of the Walton 20th National Cricket League (NCL) on Thursday. It was 31st century of his first-class career.
Tushar fulfilled the 10,000-run milestone in the last session. In the current session, he reached the next milestone in the third match.
He was trailed by 94 runs to reach the 11,000-run milestone in the match of third round. He scored 12 runs in the first innings. Then, he needed 82 more runs in the second innings.
He was unbeaten with 63 runs on Wednesday. He entered the crease in the overnight match on Thursday morning. He launched his batting journey with caution. In 65th over, he reached the milestone, hitting two runs.
Tushar Imran was included into the national team for the first time in 2007. But he could not shine his career with the national team. He scored a total of 89 runs in five tests.
