Two bullet-hit bodies recovered in Jashore

Staff Correspondent, Jashore:  Two suspected robbers were killed in a ‘gunfight’ between two groups of robbers on Jashore- Monirampur road in Kanaitala area early Wednesday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Thana Apurba Hasan said police went to the area after hearing the gunshots. Sensing the presence of police, the criminals fled.

Later, two bullet-hit bodies were recovered from the scene and taken to Jashore General Hospital for autopsy.

Sharp weapons and ropes were recovered from the scene.

The OC claimed the robbers were killed in a gunfight between two groups of robbers.
