Two committees formed for MPO entitlement

Secretariat Correspondent: The Education Ministry has formed two committees for entitlement of non-government educational institutes to the ones that enjoy monthly pay order (MPO) from the state coffer.

One committee will select the intuitions for MPO while another will accept online applications in this regard.

The Ministry formed the committees on Wednesday afternoon.

According to sources of Education Ministry, the nine-member selection committee was formed led by Javed Ahmed, additional secretary of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (private secondary). Other members of the committee are director general of Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (Banbeis), joint secretary of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (private secondary), joint secretary (law), director of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (psecondary) and director (college), deputy of Secondary and Higher Secondary (college), senior assistant secretary (budget) and member secretary joint secretary of private secondary-3.

Besides, a technical committee was formed with eight members which will accept online applications. The committee will be led by Banbeis director general Fasiullah. The committee includes delegations of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Education Ministry, senior system analysts of the directorate and programmers.

Around 1,000 non-government educational institutes to be entitled under MPO, according to the sources.
