Two electrocuted in Gopalganj

Gopalganj Correspondent: Two people have been electrocuted when they came in contact with live wires in Char Kushli village under Tungipara upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Sribash Khan, 40 and Nazma Begum, 30, wife of Nazrul Islam Sheikh.

Locals said that Nazma came in contact with a live electric wire of their irrigation pump beside their house and injured critically. Meanwhile, Hearing her screaming, Sribash and her husband Nazrul came to rescue her and also got injured.

Later, the three injured were sent to Gopalganj general hospital where duty doctor declared two of them died.

Tungipara police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) AKM Enamul Kabir confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.
