Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) clashed during a convention of Chittagong Uttar Zila unit at Engineers Institute in the port city’s Lalkhan Bazar on Tuesday noon.
The clash erupted around 12.00pm. During the clash, Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, Dr. Hasan Mahmud MP and other senior leaders left the convention hall.
BCL leader Md. Abu Tayeb told risingbd that the outlaws entered the conference room and started creating conflicts.
He blamed Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir for the incident of cocktail blast at the venue.
