Two hacked to death in Khagrachhari

Staff Correspondent: A man and his son were beaten and shot dead by miscreants in the district’s Nunchhari area on Thursday night.
The incident happened around 10:30pm.
The deceased were identified as Chiranjit Tripura and his son Karna Jyoti Tripura.
Two other members of the same family were injured during this period. The injured were admitted to Khagrachhari Sadar Hospital.
The injured were identified as Chiranjit's wife Bhave Lakshmi Tripura and Karna Jyoti's wife Bijli Tripura.
Umesh Kanti Tripura, son of the deceased, said that about 8 and 10 people of the area including the UP member Kali Bandhu Tripura and his sons Pradeep Tripura and Rachan Bikash Tripura attacked them.
Khagrachhari District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ali Khan confirmed the matter.
