Two held for creating fake websites

Staff Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel in a drive detained two people in connection with publishing fake news after creating fake websites.

A team of RAB-2 detained them from Mohammadpur area of the capital and Tongi in Gazipur, RAB headquarters in a message confirmed the matter on Thursday.

RAB’s legal and media wing director Mufti Mahmud Khan said that a team of RAB conducted separate drives at Tongi in Gazipur and Mohammadpur area and arrested the two people. Meanwhile, a laptop and mobile phones were recovered from them. They published fake news creating many fake websites.

Earlier on November 24, RAB-2 detained another one named Enamul Haque on charge of making fake websites.
