Two killed in city road crash amid AL clash

Staff Correspondent: Two people were killed when a pickup van rammed them during a factional clash of Awami League in capital’s Adabar area on Saturday.

The deceased were known as Arif, 15 and Sujan, 17.

Witnesses said the two victims were crashed under the wheel of a pickup van while it tried to flee the scene during an incident of chase-counter-chase between two local groups of Awami League in Adabar area, leaving the duo critically injured.

Later, Arif was sent to Suhrawardi Medical College Hospital and Sujan was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared them dead.

Adabar police station Officer-in-Charge Kawsar Ahmed said there was a clash between two groups of Awami League. The situation is under controlled now.

DMCH police outpost Sub-inspector Bacchu Mia confirmed the matter.
