Two killed in gunfight between two robber groups

Faridpur Correspondent: Two persons were killed in a gunfight between two robber groups at Piarpur area of By-pass road in the district town on Monday night.

Jamal Pasha, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Faridpur, two groups of robbers locked in gunfight over establishing supremacy in the area on Monday night. Being informed, police rushed to the spot. Sensing the presence of law enforcers, robbers fled the scene. Later, cops recovered the two from the spot and took to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared them dead.

A pistol was rescued from their possession, he added.

Identities of the deceased could not be known till the report was filed at 9:30am on Tuesday. The bodies were kept in the hospital.
