Two more arrested over Noakhali rape case

Staff Correspondent: Police have arrested two more persons over the ‘gang-rape’ of a woman at Charbajuli village in Subarnachar upazila after the December 30 national election.
The detainees are Hasan Ali Bulu, 60, Subarnachar upazila Awami League publicity secretary and Jasim Uddin, 30, son of Motahar Hossain.
Sources said a team of police picked Jasim, one of nine accused in the case, up from Nazir Hat area in Chattogram around 6:30am on Friday. Besides, the law enforcers arrested Hasan Ali Bulu from Pashchim Madarbari area of Dabblemuring.
Superintendent of Police of the district Md Ilias Sharif confirmed the matter on Friday.
On Sunday (December 30), at the night, a group of 10 men raped a women after tying her husband and children at her residence.
The husband of the 32-year-old woman filed a case with Char Jabbar Police Station, accusing nine persons.
