Two more cases filed over Gabtoli clash

Staff Correspondent: Two more cases have been filed with Darussalam Police Station over clashes between police and transport workers that ensued at Gabtoli in the capital on Wednesday morning centering the countrywide strike protesting conviction of two truckers.
The two cases were filed on Thursday night. Now the number of cases is five with the filing of these two cases.
One case was filed for murder while another for restricting at the duty of police.
Murder case was filed accusing 800 unidentified people and the other was filed mentioning 35 names and 600 unidentified people.
Darussalam Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Selimuzzaman confirmed the matter to risingbd.com on Friday.
Earlier, three cases were filed over the clash. The cases were filed with Darussalam police station mentioning 40 names and 1000 unidentified people for vandalising vehicles during the clash on Wednesday night.
On Wednesday, transport workers damaged several vehicles including the vehicles of police and media during the clash. One of the workers was injured in the clash and later died at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
