Two motorcycles snatched away in city

Staff Correspondent: Muggers have looted two motorcycles after stabbing security guards of the houses in separate incidents in the capital.

The incidents took place at Khilgaon and Mirpur area early Friday.

Sources said miscreants entered a house of Uttar Goran of Khilgaon area in the wee hours of Friday. They stabbed security guard Moniruzzaman Monir, 32, indiscriminately, leaving him wounded. They fled the scene with a motorbike found on the ground floor of the house.

Later, residents of the building rushed Monir to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Meanwhile, some miscreants stabbed a watchman in the same manner, after entering a house of Mirpur-2. They also fled with a motorbike found on the ground floor.

The watchman was known as Apu Kumar Sarkar, 35. Another security guard, Anisur Rahman, 30, of a neighbouring house was also injured in the incident as he came forward to save Apu after hearing hue and cry.

Later, people of the house took them to DMCH for treatment.
