Two shot dead in Khagrachhari

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Two persons were reportedly gunned down in an election clash in Panchhari upazila of the district on Monday.
The deceased were identified as UPDF activist Chikyo Chakma, 32 and tea vendor Sohel Rana.
Police and local sources said the incident took place in the area around 12:30pm following an attack in the election campaign office of independent candidate Notun Kumar Chakma. Meanwhile, two youths received bullet injuries and died on the spot. On information, army and police forces from local camp rushed to the spot recovered the bodies.
Panchhari police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nurul Alam confirmed the matter.
