Two women held with 4.5 kg gold

Staff Correspondent: Customs officials arrested two women along with 40 gold bars, weighing 4.66kg, from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday morning.
Confirming the matter, Moinul Khan, Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID), said on information, customs officials challenged the two women at the customs hall around 8:40am and recovered the gold searching their bodies.
The two women came from Muscat of Oman to Chittagong, and then flied to Dhaka on a domestic flight, Moinul said.
Details regarding the issue will be briefed later, he added.
