 UAE embassy’s month long iftar distribution programme

Staff Correspondent: With the financial support of UAE Red Crescent, Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahiyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, the embassy of United Arab Emirates has conducted a month long iftar item distribution programme in Bangladesh.

As part of the programme, the embassy distributed iftar items among poor, orphans and common people in different parts of the country, says a press release.

The embassy has already distributed iftar items among 20,000 people in Dhaka, Manikganj, Munsiganj, Gazipur, Comilla, Chandpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Hobiganj, Bagerhat, Barial, Pirojpur, Gopalganj, Jessore, Sirajganj, Joipurhat and Rangpur districts.

The iftar items include juice, birani, etc.

At the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the embassy distributed seheri meal and iftar items like rice, lentil, oil, salt, sugar, dates, etc.

It has also distributed improved quality dates among poor everyday provided by UAE Red Crescent.

It has also distributed Eid clothes and Kakat rice among the poor.
