UN special envoy Yanghee Lee visits Dhaka today

Diplomatic Correspondent: UN special rapporteur on human rights in Myanmar, Yanghee Lee is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka today to visit the Rohingya refugees.
UN mission sources said that the envoy would arrive this noon. She may go to Cox’s Bazar directly from Dhaka.
According to a message received from UN, Lee’s 11-day long visit started on January 14 from Thailand which will end on January 24. She has a plan to visit the island of Bhashan Char in Noakhali.
On the other hand, the Myanmar government has maintained its decision to cease cooperation with the Special Rapporteur, and refused her entry to Myanmar.
