UP chairman shot dead in Satkhira

Satkhira Correspondent: Satkhira’s Krishnanagar union parishad chairman also Kaliganj upazila unit Jatiya Party secretary general KM Mosharraf Hossain, 52 was gunned down by miscreants on Saturday night.
He was son of late Soluddin Gazi from Krishnanagar.
Quoting witnesses, Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj police station, said Mosharraf was in local Juba League office around 10:45pm. Meanwhile, 5-6 youths came by motorcycles and opened fire aiming him. The attackers also attacked him with lethal weapon, leaving him critically injured.
Later, Mosharraf succumbed to his injuries while was being taken to Kaliganj hospital.
Kaliganj Circle Assistant police super (ASP) Yeasin Ali said that the body was kept at Kaliganj Hospital.
The reason behind the murder could not be known immediately.
