UPDF activist hacked dead

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Miscreants hacked dead a member of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) in Balukhali village of Bangatali union under Baghaichhari upazila of Rangamati early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Moni Chakma, 35.
Local sources said that active activists Notun Moni Chakma and Darshan Chakma were working in Balukhali area. Killers attacked him with lethal weapon around 12:30am, leaving him dead on the spot. On information, family members identified the body from nearby jungle. Later, police recovered the body.
Amir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Baghaichhari Police Station confirmed the matter.
