'Using images of Khaleda-Tarique violation of polls code'

Staff Correspondent: Awami League (AL) election steering committee co-chairman HT Imam alleged that candidates of BNP are using images of Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman on election posters as chiefs of the party which is obviously violation of polls code.

He told this to the reporters at the media centre of the Election Commission (EC) at the capital’s Agargaon on Friday evening.

H T Imam said, “Khaleda Zia is currently not holding the post of the party’s chairman. So, her image cannot be used on posters as per the election code. On the contrary, Tarique Rahman is a fugitive. So, CEC has been requested to take decision whether it should be used Tarique’s image on poster.”
