Vehicles vandalized in Dhaka

Staff Correspondent: BNP activists clashed with police and allegedly set fire to a police motorbike and vandalized 30-40 vehicles in Bangabazar, Gulisthan, Zero-point, press club and High Court areas of Dhaka.

Sources said that some BNP started vandalizing vehicles in the secretariat area around 3:45pm after BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and her motorcade left the court after giving her self-statement in connection with graft cases. Meanwhile, the law enforcers chased the BNP men to bring the situation under control.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Maruf Hossain Sardar said that BNP activists vandalized the vehicles. Police detained some of them from the spot.
