Verdict on 5 Patuakhali war criminals on Monday

Staff Correspondent: The International Crimes Tribunal is scheduled to deliver its verdict on Monday in a case filed against five men from Patuakhali for their alleged involvement in crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.
A three-member bench of the tribunal, headed by Justice Md Shahinur Islam fixed the date on Sunday.
Lawyer Abdus Sattar Palwan moved for the accused while Prosecutors Jeyad-al-Malum and Rezia Sultana Chaman stood for the state.
Earlier on May 30, verdict in the case was kept pending after ending the hearing from both sides.
The accused are -Ishak Shikdar, Abdul Goni Hawladar, Abdul Awal alias Moulvi Abdul Awal, Abdus Sattar Peda and Solaiman Mridha.
