Staff Correspondent: Voting in 156 Union Parishads are underway.
The voting began 8.00am and will continue till 4.00am.
The country has over 4,500 UPs, the lowest tier of local government bodies, and elections to most of those were held in phases in early 2016. UP elections under political party ticket were introduced for the first time in Bangladesh since last year.
