Walton Central Zone end day 1 at 249/3

Sports Correspondent: Shadman Islam’s brilliant century helped Walton Central Zone to end the day 1 on 249 for three wickets against North Zone in the fourth round of Bangladesh Cricket League at Chandu Stadium in Bogura on Tuesday.

Mahmudullah Riyad, 21, and Marshall Ayub, 20, are on the crease who will start the day 2 on Wednesday.

The opener Shadman hit 107 runs off 239 balls with nine fours.

Another opener Saif Hassan scored 94 runs from 243 balls which includes 12 fours and a six. Meanwhile, Raqibul Hasan hit a duck off 6 balls.

Earlier, North Zone won the toss and opted to field first.
