Walton Dhaka Premier League begins

Sports Desk: Walton Dhaka Premier Division Cricket league began on Monday morning at three separate venues in the capital.
Earlier, trophy and jersey unveiling ceremony of the 12 teams took place on Sunday.
Champion Gazi Group Cricketers and Agrani Bank Cricket Club are facing each other at field no. 3 of Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP). Winning toss, Gazi Group chose to bowl first.
Besides, Abahani Limited is fighting against Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Somity at field no. 4 of BKSP while Shinepukur Cricket Club chose to field against Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club winning toss at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
The matches were started at 9:30am.
Top 12 clubs in the country joined the prestigious tournament. The 1st phase of the league will end on February 20 and the six-team super league will begin after a two-day break. National team players will join the tournament after ongoing Sri Lanka series.
