Walton announces 1-yr replacement guarantee on LED TVs

Milton Ahmed: Country's leading electronics brand Walton has extended its replacement period from six months to one year for LED televisions with the assurance for customers of providing a new device on any fault in TV panel.

Walton authorities said that they came up with the announcement after being hundred percent confident of the quality of their products and customers satisfaction. The new replacement facilities would be applicable from July 1 of the current year. 

Walton authorities said they have installed state-of-the-art technology and latest machineries at Walton factory in Gazipur with huge investment to ensure highest quality of their products. In addition, they have established country's largest television research and development department with highly qualified, higher educated and expert engineers who are devotedly working on the advancement of Walton televisions keeping pace with developed countries for which Walton announced one-year replacement guarantee on LED televisions.

The official announcement of the extended replacement guarantee was given at a declaration programme at the conference hall of Walton media office in city's Motijheel on Wednesday (July 12, 2017). Executive Director and Chief Coordinator of Walton Marketing, Eva Rezwana, Executive Director (Policy, HRM & Admin) S.M. Zahid Hasan,  In-charge of Walton LED TV Research & Development department, Forhad Hasan, Head of Walton TV Sourcing Engineering, Mostafa Nahid Hossain and Head of Walton TV Service Development, Braja Gopal Karmaker were among others present of the occasion.

Walton authorities said customers will be given a new TV set for any fault in panel within one year of purchase. Moreover, the customers of Walton LED televisions will enjoy two-year warranty for panel along with five-year free after sales service.

Speakers at the declaration function said some brands in local market only replace the defective parts without providing the customers a new device though they make announcement of replacement guarantee for LED televisions. However, Walton will provide a new LED TV set if any fault found in panel within one-year of purchase.
 
Informing that panel is the most important part of a LED television, Engineer Mostafa Nahid Hossain, said 60 percent of the production cost of a LED TV set goes for its panel. However, low quality panel is generally used in imported TVs of ordinary brands for which customers are being cheated while they buy these television sets.

He said high quality, latest technology based HADS (High Advance Super Dimension Switch) and IPS (In-Plane Switching) and long lasting panels are used in Walton LED televisions, which are manufactured in ISO Class-7 dust free clean room, that ensures large viewing angles and high-contrast picture and saves electricity too. Walton is using own designed high technology motherboards with dynamic noise reduction, motion picture, highest frame rage, dolby digital sound features to ensure high picture quality and vibrant sound.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Coordinator of Walton Marketing, Eva Rezwana, said, they have 67 models of LED TVs in local electronics market, which already attained customers' trust and satisfaction making Walton top brand. She also hoped that the trust and confidence of customers to Walton brand will increase more with the announcement of one-year replacement guarantee.

Engineer Forhad Hasan said, Walton has attained remarkable achievements in research and development of television sets. The Walton R&D department has invented Quantum Dot Plus technology's next generation SpectraQ TV, which instigated a new horizon in TV technology sector. 

Mentionable, Walton LED TVs are being manufactured at latest and automatic production line. Separate manufacturing lines have been set up for plastic cabinets, speakers, remote control units, motherboards, electric cables and panel production leading Bangladesh to become self-reliant in LED TV production and proper quality control is maintained under its own supervision. Besides, the production cost has cut due to the manufacturing of essential raw materials at its own factory and the customers are enjoying the benefits.
