Walton in Irish cricket ground

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh's leading brand Walton sponsors most of the country's cricket tournaments and series. It has also become the title sponsor of ongoing Tri-Nation Cricket Series in Ireland, which features Bangladesh, hosts Ireland and New Zealand.

The cricket series has officially been named as 'Walton Tri-Nation Cricket Series'. The pitch mat, 3D mat, stamp sticker, sightscreen, perimeter board, boundary rope all features the name and logo of Bangladeshi brand Walton. It seems like a slice of Bangladesh in Irish land.
 
Walton has a long tie with cricket. The leading brand has been sponsoring most of the prime domestic cricket tournaments as well as Bangladesh's tours to other countries.

During the live broadcasting of the third match of the series between Bangladesh and New Zealand at Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Dublin on Wednesday (May 17), the commentator had a lively chat with Walton's senior operative director Uday Hakim. He spontaneously talked about Walton and sponsoring in Bangladesh cricket.

While replying to the query of the commentator that why Walton in getting involved in sponsoring cricket, Uday Hakim said, cricket is the most popular game in Bangladesh as well as in Indian sub-continent. It is our great opportunity to branding in cricket. We are sponsoring in cricket for ten years.

This year we have sponsored Bangladesh tours to New Zealand and Sri Lanka and this Tri-Nation series as well. In addition, in our country, we are the long time sponsor in all of our prime domestic cricket tournaments. We are proud to be with cricket.
 
When the commentator asked if he had played himself, Uday Hakim smilingly said, yes, I also play cricket. I am the captain of Walton Corporate Cricket Team and we are the defending champions.

Replying a query about Walton, the top official of the company said, Walton is one of the largest brands and manufacturers in South Asian region and our products include refrigerator, television, air conditioner, home, kitchen and electrical appliances and we have laptop, mobile handset and tab in our product line.

When the commentator asked Uday Hakim to say something for the fans back in home in Bangla, he greeted them on behalf of Walton. He also urged all fans to be with Walton, cricket and above all the country.
