Walton to produce more user-friendly, innovative appliances

Economic Reporter: Local electronics giant Walton has announced to manufacture more user-friendly and innovative technology products which will help the country to grab a remarkable portion of the global market through providing high quality ‘Made in Bangladesh’ items at affordable prices.

The Bangladeshi OEM (original Equipment Manufacturer) has chalked out various plans and taken huge-initiatives among which are to manufacture IOT-based smart appliances. Users would be able to control those smart devices from any part of the world through mobile phones.

The disclosures were made at the Plaza Managers and Dealers Conference held in Walton Headquarter in Chandra of Gazipur on Wednesday (13 March 2019). The conference was inaugurated by Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited (WHIL) Chairman SM Nurul Alam Rezvi, Vice-Chairman SM Shamsul Alam, Managing Director SM Ashraful Alam and Director SM Mahbubul Alam.



The event was also attended, among others, by Walton Group’s Director SM Monjurul Alam, Executive Directors Eva Rezwana, Amdadul Haque Sarker, SM Zahid Hasan, Humayun Kabir, Mohammad Rayhan, Golam Murshed and Head of R&D section Tapash Kumer Mojumder.

More than two-thousand plaza managers and dealers attended the function of the second day of the 3-day long ‘Walton Conference 2019’ hosted by film actor Amin Khan. Earlier on Tuesday, more than two-thousand businessmen took part in the first day of the conference.

Upon their arrival at Walton Hi-Tech Industries Ltd. premise, the participants of the conference visited the production units of different sorts of electronics, electricals, home, ICT and Industrial Solutions. They were amazed to see the production process of Walton fridge, television, air conditioner, laptop, computer, mobile phone, elevator, compressor, washing machine, oven etc. at the gigantic manufacturing plant equipped with world’s latest technology and machineries.

Best plaza managers were awarded at the conference for their outstanding performance and contribution in the rapid growth of Walton’s market share.
