War Crimes: Verdict on 5 Patuakhali men today

Staff Correspondent: The International Crimes Tribunal-1 will deliver its verdict in a case filed against five Patuakhali men for allegedly committing crimes during the Liberation War in 1971.

A three-member bench of the tribunal, headed by Justice Md Shahinur Islam fixed the date on Sunday.

On May 30, the tribunal kept the case waiting for verdict after both the prosecution and defence completed their closing arguments.

The accused are -Ishak Shikdar, Abdul Goni Hawladar, Abdul Awal alias Moulvi Abdul Awal, Abdus Sattar Peda and Solaiman Mridha.
