Water flows above danger level in 17 points

Staff Correspondent: Water levels at several river stations have marked increase due to continuous heavy rain and on rush from hills. Of which, water is flowing above danger level at 17 points of the country's different rivers.

Sarder Udoy Rayhan, Deputy Divisional Engineer of the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC), confirmed the news on Sunday noon.

He said 50mm rain was recorded at 20 points across the country.

Meanwhile water levels at 77 river stations monitored by the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked increase while 12 stations recorded fall.

Among the 90 monitored water level stations, two stations have been registered steady, said a bulletin issued by the FFWC.
