'We are not killing anyone'

Senior Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said no one is being killed in name of gunfight.

The minister made the opinion while addressing newsmen at a press conference in secretariat on Monday.

Mentioning gunfight issue, the minister said, illegal business means illegal money, illegal arms. So, in this regard gunfight is normal to save life.

"However, killing is not our aim. We are not killing anyone," he said.  

Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal also said that the ongoing anti-drug drive will continue until the situation comes under control.

Farid Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Secretary, Security Service Division, Ministry of Home and other top officials attended the press conference.
