Teachers on 6th day of strike
'We will not go home without MPO'

Staff Correspondent: The teachers of the non-MPO educational institutions continued their fast unto death programme on Friday for the sixth consecutive day demanding enlistment under the government's Monthly Payment Order (MPO) facility.
Teachers' leader vowed that they will not go home without getting confirmation over their demand. They claimed specific announcement over MPO. Following the issue, they expected interfere of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Binoy Bhushan Roy, general secretary of the Non-MPO Educational Institutions' Teachers and Employees Federation said, "Earlier, we came to Dhaka and took position in front of Shaheed Minar. After getting assurance, we returned home. But, the assurance is not fulfilled yet. So, we started fast-unto-death."
Meanwhile, he urged the government to meet their demand.
On the other hand, six more teachers fell sick in the sixth days of the indefinite hunger strike.
