What achievements from India tour: Ershad

Senior Correspondent: Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad asked Prime Minister what she brought for people of Bangladesh from India.

He said we do not know what she (Sheikh Hasina) brought for us from India. We want to know that. Could you be able to resolve the Teesta problem? Hope, PM will give a clear statement in this regard.

Ershad, a special envoy to the Prime Minister, said this while speaking at an Iftar party at the capital’s Bijoynagar on Saturday.

The former president also came down heavily the government over the extra judicial killings across the country in name of anti-drug drives.

He said, “The way people are being killed in gunfights, has the war started in the country? Those are being killed in name of anti-drug drives are also citizens of the country. Who gives you (PM) right to kill people? Is there not any law and court in the country?”
