Why XI admission policy not illegal: HC

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) issued a rule asking the authorities concerned to explain why the class XI admission policy which allows institutions to enroll students on the basis of Grade Point Average (GPA) should not be declared illegal.

The HC bench of Justice Salma Masud Choudhury and Justice AKM Zahirul Hoque came up with the rule on Tuesday after hearing a writ petition filed by Supreme Court lawyer Eunus Ali Akond challenging the legality of the admission policy.

Besides, the court also allowed Viqarunnisa Noon School and College to enroll students following their own method.
