Wife’s body found in capital, husband’s body in Sylhet

Staff Correspondent: Police has recovered the body of a housewife named Taslima (23) from Ramna thana area in the capital. Her husband Sujon Mia's body has been recovered from Sylhet.

Ramna police station recovered the body of Taslima from Madubag Jilpar in the city on Saturday night.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s Police Outpost Sub-Inspector Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter.

Bachchu Mia, quoting the autopsy report, said that there is found injury mark in the neck of the woman and it is suspected that he was strangled to death.

Police initially suspect that Taslima was killed by her husband, because Sujon Mia was not found when the body of his wife was recovered.

Police said that the body of Sujan Mia was recovered from Sylhet on Saturday night. After considering the matter, police suspected that Sujon committed suicide in Sylhet after the murder of Taslima.
