Women killed on running bus at Ashulia

Staff Correspondent, Savar: Transport workers have killed a woman after pushing her father out of running bus.

The incident took place at Ashulia on Friday night.

Police recovered the body of Zarina Begum, 45, from Moragang area on the Abdullahpur-Baipail Highway around 11:00pm.

According to police, Zarina Begum and her father Akbar Ali, 70, were going to Tangail and on their way, they had an altercation with the bus driver, his assistant and the vehicle’s supervisor.

The transport workers beat them up and at one stage threw Akbar out of the bus from the Ashulia bridge area. Akbar contacted police shortly.

A police patrol team followed the bus route and found the body of Zarina.
Zarina’s son-in-law has filed a case in this connection.
