World's largest Burn Institute to be inaugurated Wednesday

Secretariat Correspondent: The world’s largest burn and plastic surgery institute has been built at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The institute is named after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who will inaugurate it on Wednesday.

Prime Minister's office sources confirmed the matter.

With most modern equipment and technology, the institute would be a centre of excellence for treatment, research and studies. Helipad facility will be available there for the first time in any government hospital.

The construction work of the institute was started in January, 2016.

A total of 100 cabins, 60 high deficiency units and 12 operation theatres will be there in the largest burn and plastic surgery institute in the world.
