Staff Correspondent: A writ petition has been filed with the High Court seeking its order upon the government to form an enquiry commission to find out those responsible for mismanagement in sending hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia this year.
Advocate Monjil Morshed of Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh (HRPB) submitted the petition on Sunday.
The petition requested the HC to direct the foreign ministry to communicate with the government of Saudi Arabia within 48 hours to settle visa complexities of the hajj pilgrims.
The organisation requested the court to issue an order to the authorities concerned of the government to hire additional flights for sending hajj pilgrims who could not go to Saudi Arabia for performing hajj.
The petitioner also prayed to the HC to ask the government to take actions against the people who are responsible for this year’s hajj mismanagement.
