Yaba worth Tk 1.4cr seized in Feni

Feni Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel detained two drug peddlers with 35,000 pieces of yaba tablets worth Tk1.40 crore from Rampur area of Feni district.

The detainees are identified as Rokon Uddin Sarkar, 35 and Asadul Islam Asad.

Feni RAB-7 Squadron Leader Safayet Jamil Fahim said that acting on a tip-off, RAB set up a checkpost to search passengers in the Rampur area around 9:00pm on Saturday.  Meanwhile, the two men riding a motorcycle from Chittagong towards Rajshahi were stopped on suspicion. They tried to flee and were chased down by RAB personnel.

The law enforcers recovered 35,000 yaba tablets from an airtight polybag hidden in the oil tank of their motorbike.
