Youth killed in city road crash

Staff Correspondent: A youth was killed as a bus ran over him near Tongi Bridge at Abdullahpur in the capital on Saturday noon.

The deceased was identified as Firoz, 26, son of Abu Taher of Pirganj in Rangpur.

Monika, sister of the deceased, said Firoz was seriously injured as a bus hit him near Tongi bridge. He was immediately taken to Bangladesh Medical. Later, he was referred to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where attending doctors declared him dead.

Bachchu Mia, Sub-Inspector (SI) DMCH police outpost, confirmed the news.
