Zebra Crossing on Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: A voluntary organization of Dohazari municipality has taken an initiative to make zebra crossing and set up road signs on the Chattogram -Cox's Bazar highway.

This organisation 'Dohazari Blood Bank' has started their activities through making a zebra crossing in Chandanaish.

They will set up road signs at their own expense in front of all educational institutions adjacent to the highways.

Members of the organisation started the zebra crossing programme in front of the Nityananda Gourchandra High School in Chandanaish upazila and Dohazari Government Primary School on Saturday.

Moinuddin Hasan and SM Wahid Roni of the organization said that they have taken this programme to bring discipline in the traffic movement in front of educational institutions.

The other members of the organisation Meherul Hasan, Khandakar Saifuddin, Junaid Saleh, Zahidul Islam Shakib, Minhaz Shakib, Mirza Shaheed, Kazi Jainal, Mizanur Rahman, Kazi Tahsin, Adnan Delwar, Mohammad Asif, Imran Hossain Manik, Md Shakib and Touhidul Islam were also present on the occasion.

Traffic police ASI Fazle Rabbi and constable Khalilur Rahman helped them.
