Zero's script and title has been changed; says Katrina Kaif

Entertainment Desk: It is an unfortunate fact that Shah Rukh Khan has not been going through a very good phase when it comes to the box office, even since his much-hyped Dilwale underperformed as per expectations. While his FAN and Jab Harry Met Sejal were disasters, Raees was a hit, but not the monster hit that his fans expected the movie to be. Dear Zindagi was, in reality, an Alia Bhatt movie.

So we can't blame Shah Rukh Khan for wanting to be very careful with his next movie, Zero, that is being directed Aanand L Rai. The movie stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the lead, where Katrina Kaif plays an actress with whom SRK's character, who is vertically challenged, has a crush on. There have been rumours that the script has been changed, as SRK wanted it to be more audience-friendly, and even the title was supposed to be Katrina Meri Jaan. Now we have a confirmation of this from the lead actress herself.

In an interview to DNA, Katrina Kaif revealed this bit, as she said, "Yes, it was a different film altogether when it was first offered to me. It went through a lot of changes in the last two years. The movie that you will see now is completely fresh, which is why it’s not titled Katrina Meri Jaan, although the initial plan was to call it that."

However, she says she completely trusts Shah Rukh Khan and she also loved the teaser. "I’m happy that people have loved the teaser. Zero is SRK’s baby. He is so deeply involved with the technology part of his films that half the work is done there. He has set up a technology team and put together some of the best people in the business for it. So on that front, I can close my eyes and trust him blindly because I know the level he’s trying to achieve with this film," reveals Katrina on her awe for SRK as she also spoke about how the trailer impressed her, "I have seen a lot more than what is out and I can assure you that it’s going to be a film to watch out for. I feel what he and Aanand L Rai have envisioned is revolutionary. We tend to look down on our films, which involve graphics and CGI and VFX, but Zero might break those notions."
