14 more deaths, 1,041 fresh positive cases from Covid-19

14 more people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 283 in the country.

Besides, 1,041 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 18,863.

Prof Dr  Nasima Sultana, additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), disclosed the latest figures of deaths and infections in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation in Dhaka on Thursday (May 14).

“We've carried out tests on 7,392 samples collected from across the country and 1,041 more patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection. The total number of infections has risen to 18,863,” she said.
