142 Italy returnees kept under quarantine at hajj camp

Around 142 Bangladeshis, who returned from Italy, have been kept under quarantine at Ashkona Hajj Camp in the city.
They were sent to Ashkona Hajj Camp from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday morning.
Earlier, they arrived in Dhaka on an Emirates flight this morning from Geneva via Venice.
Doctor Shahriar Sajjad, in-charge of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport medical team, said in primary diagnosis it is found that they are not infected with coronavirus. They have been sent to Ashkona Hajj Camp for quarantine as they have come from a coronavirus-affected country.
Dhaka District Civil Surgeon Dr. Moinul Hasan said, “The Italy returnees will be released after health checkup. Later, they will go under home quarantine”.
