15 more deaths, record 1,202 fresh positive cases from Covid-19

15more people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 298 in the country.

Besides, 1,202 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 20,065.

Prof DrNasima Sultana, additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS),disclosed the latest figures of deaths and infections in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation in Dhaka on Friday (May 15).

According to DGHS, a total of 3,882 individuals have recovered from the disease so far since Bangladesh recorded its first Covid-19 case on March 8.

“We've carried out tests on 8,582samples collected from across the country and 1,202 more patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection. The total number of infections has risen to 20,065,” she said.
