Record 16,233MW electricity generated on Monday

The country has generated a record 16,233 megawatts of electricity at 9pm on Monday, said Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB).

A notification from the public relation wing of the power division confirmed the matter yesterday.

The notification said that 16,233 megawatts of electricity was produced on Monday. Currently severe heatwave is sweeping the country. The power division is working relentlessly generating electricity to maintain the comfort in public life.

Earlier, the country generated a record 15,666 megawatts of electricity yesterday.
