2 get life term in Sri Lanka citizen murder

Staff Correspondent: A court in Dhaka sentenced two people to life term imprisonment for murdering a Sri Lankan citizen named Suhara Umma.

Judge Sheikh Hafizur Rahman of Dhaka Special Judge Court 9 passed the order on Wednesday.

The convicts are- Mafiz Uddin Sarkar, son of late Kafil Uddin, hailed from Matlab thana in Chandpur and Abu Jaher alias Jaher Khan, son of late Abul, hailed from Kaunia thana in Rangpur.

The court also fined them Tk 30,000 each, in default, to suffer six more months’ rigorous punishment.
