3,107 Freedom Fighter certificates cancelled

Parliament Correspondent: Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque has that the government has so far cancelled freedom fighter certificates of 3,107 people.

The minister said this in replaying to a question of Awami League lawmaker Nurunnabi Chowdhury at the Parliament on Saturday.

The minister also said that 4,188 names were suggested to give certificates as Freedom Fighters from the ‘dropout category’ in last ten years.

The names from the categories include—civil gazette, female Freedom Fighters, employees of Mujibnagar Government, aid providing medical teams, martyred and war injured Freedom Fighters.
