353 Bangladeshis return from Maldives

A total of 353 Bangladeshi nationals returned home from Maldives by a special chartered flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines amid ongoing flight suspension due to COVID-19 pandemic.

“The aircraft carrying the 353 Bangladeshi citizens landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport from Male at 9:58 pm on Saturday (May 16),” a spokesperson of the airlines Deputy General Manager (PR) Tahera Khondokar said.

All the returnees brought back to the country from Male with medical certificates, according to sources at Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
