4 more hospitals getting nod for COVID-19 tests

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general (admin) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), said, "A process is underway to provide approval to four more private hospitals in order to carry out tests of  COVID-19 samples."

Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the information while disclosing the latest figures of deaths and infections in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation in Dhaka on Thursday (April 30).

"We have extended the periphery of COVID-19 tests. We have received test reports from 29 labs. The results of Cumilla Medical College,
Evercare Hospital Limited (former Apollo Hospital) and Central Police Hospital have been added to this newly," she said.

Among the four hospitals seeking approval for COVID-19 tests, two are Labaid Specialized Hospital and Ibn Sina Hospital located in Dhaka and the other two are Tairunnessa Memorial Medical College Hospital and Hedayetullah Medical College Hospital located outside Dhaka, she mentioned.
